Well it’s about time someone did this, GameFly is going to start offering subscription based digital downloads for PC games. According to co-founder Sean Spector this will be an additional service not separate. The beta page for GameFly Digital lists the ability to rent, buy and pre-order games. This almost sounds like the marriage of Playstation Plus and Steam for PC Gamers, pay monthly to play any of their games on offer and buy the games you want to keep forever. We’ll find out soon enough as the beta begins September 8th 2011.
