Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg takes the high road at gamescom and just wants games, isn’t that what we all want? I think the best quote from him is this “As someone who runs one of the biggest publishers in this business I can tell you that I want as many games as possible to succeed, whether we created them or not, because I want this industry to keep growing and bringing in new people”. I hope he means that, while a poking fun at your competition is all part of the gaming lifestyle it can get down right nasty sometimes. Especially when the gaming community and press egg each party on to say more and more ridiculous comments.
