This is sad news, one of video games original journalists has passed away. Bill “The Game Doctor” Kunkel died on Sunday September 4th 2011. He was executive editor of Electronic Games Magainze and also wrote for EGM, CGW, one of the first games sites we can remember on the internet HappyPuppy.com and Tips and Tricks magazine. Not only did he write about video games but also professional wrestling including writing for Pro Wrestling Torch. We all owe Mr. Kunkel a debt of gratitude whether player, reviewer or industry person he helped to further our passion and he’s legacy will live on in all of us.
