Kotaku went eyes-on with the new Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, the newest Steel Battalion game for the Xbox 360 that will use the Kinect to bring you closer to the game. However it’s not just body movements as you’ll also have to use the Xbox 360 controller as well to pilot this behemoth of metal. The controls sound odd as instead of turning your head, or maybe a thumbstick, you have to use your arm to “steer” your vision inside the cockpit. Since there are other crew members, remember this is like a tank so it needs more than just you to control, you’ll need to interact with them, pull them back into the cockpit if they try to escape and even exchange some fisticuffs when things get real hairy. It definitely doesn’t sound like the Steel Battalion of old but really what could recreate that without that insanely glorious controller?
