Uh oh, it looks like Nintendo is now cutting backward compatibility for the Gamecube out of the Wii. I guess if you rely on this feature you should pick up an older newer one stat. I mean you could always pick up a working used Gamecube as well but then you would need a second set of cables. It looks like this starts with the new Nintendo Black Wii Holiday Bundle that includes New Super Mario Bros. Wii and a special Super Mario Galaxy Soundtrack CD.
