With all the interest in the Rising Storm expansion for Red Orchestra 2, we’ve edited the highlights from the demonstrations at GamesCom, added in a couple of extra bits of new video and made them available on our Youtube channel:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cN7kVY8W6lE&feature=share&list=UUFMvBfqGInJ22WynMV8Ohrw

Rising Storm started as a Tripwire-sponsored mod for RO2, but has now made the leap to become a commercial expansion. Players of Rising Storm will be able to access both Rising Storm and RO2 maps from the same server browser.

This footage was first shown at GamesCom in Cologne recently. In the video, the producer of Rising Storm, Tony Gillham, explains some of the new features that the expansion is going to introduce, such as booby traps, spawn bunkers and banzai charges for the Japanese forces. On the US side, we also see the flamethrower, a great weapon for clearing out bunkers.

Red Orchestra 2 is available on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/35450/) and many other digital outlets. Rising Storm will follow!
