Fields of Fresh on Kickstarter is raising money to be the farming RPG. That’s right, not a simulation where every combine is molded to perfection it’s an RPG where the characters and story take front and center attention. Pawbyte also has a love of Harvest Moon, which had a wonderful story and great characters and is also about life on a farm. Just like that great game they are also looking to craft a world with characters that we can all fall in love with and come back to again and again. After a year of hard work there’s a lot done but they still need help to get the game polished with new art, music and more which is what this Kickstarter is for so head on over to their page and check it out.

PRESS RELEASE
PawByte marches onward with Project Fields of Fresh via KickStarter
Chicago, IL USA – Less than a week ago PawByte, lead by Nathan Hurde and Chase Lee
launched their appealed to gamers to fund their Role Playing Game to show what modern
farming will look like for a group of friends who leave everything to start a farm. Students and
workers by day and game developers by night and weekends, Chase and Nathan strive to
help revive the Chicago gaming market. PawByte brings Fields of Fresh(FOF) to the table as
a different approach to a genre and area in gaming often spammed with clones and social
games. After creating a budget to pay those with the skills they lacked; to deliver the best
quality possible for FOF, they went to KickStarter. In the little time that the Kickstarter
campaign was released, there has been a great support from the community. It seems as if
gamers everywhere can expect to have Fields of Fresh within their hands soon.
But why is the game called Fields of Fresh? The title leaves the last word up to the
user/gamer to determine. Fields of Fresh has a progressive story, but gives gamers some
freedom to get their goals done. So whether one wishes to call their game, “Fields of Fresh
Zombies”, “Fields of Fresh Eggs” or “Fields of Fresh Revenge”, it is completely up to them by
the way they play the game.
“It is time to take a step back from what everyone else is doing and make something new for
gamers, both young and old.”
During the design phase of Fields of Fresh, the team decided that the game needed more.
With a huge ladle the designers decided to experiment with mixing action, strategy and
drama. When one runs Fields of Fresh they will receive their daily dose of these elements.
The goal is not to just provide another game for players but a series where the characters
come to life. After the first hour of the game, we want gamers to fall in love with the characters
(protagonists and antagonists).
Fields of Fresh is an indie game reaching its second year in development and presses
onward to make its way into the hands of gamers worldwide by June 2013 with public beta
versions available soon.
