So Mad Catz goes and releases the S.T.R.I.K.E.R. 7 Gaming Keyboard with tons of bells and whistles and one thing I’ve wanted forever and that’s a full sized keyboard that can convert to just a 90 key keyboard. Still have yet to find the perfect one for me, there are a few but they all lack something. The rest of the goodies it gets you are a color touch screen, programmable buttons, swappable fps keys, choose your own color back lighting, and finally palm and wrist rests. However what I don’t see and what YouTube and Amazon citizens seem to be up in arms about, and rightly so this time, is no Cherry, Brown or Blue MX switches which would make this a super sweet deal as a mechanical keyboard vs just kind of meh as it is now. Hopefully when we get the next generation of Mad Catz keyboard they can bring us the even more performance, especially when it’s $299.99 at amazon. But hey at least they were selected as an Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards ‘Best of Innovations’ honoree in the Gaming Hardware & Accessories product category at CES.
