CoLD SToRAGE releases “SLIPSTREAM [ Volume Two ]” – the second part of his WipEout re-mastering project”.
Tim Wright (aka. CoLD SToRAGE) brings us Volume Two of the painstaking re-work of all his WipEout music. SLIPSTREAM [ Volume Two ] officially launches today…
Tim says;
“I was keen to release the second volume in the series within a month of Volume One… more for continuity in terms of re-mixing style than anything else. I want the albums to sound cohesive – something you can mix-up in terms of play order, and yet still feel like it was recorded at the same time.
As with Volume One I’ve take each track on it’s own merit, and leveraged audio tools that make each song sound the best it can; whether than means using E.Q., noise reduction, high frequency enhancer, valve compression or any number of other 64 bit processing tools.
I do hope the end results speak for themselves. The fact that these tracks can be downloaded in LOSSLESS format, or basically ‘as I hear them’ in the studio is a big thing as far as many of my fans are concerned. Sure, it’s handy to have small MP3 files on your iPod or mobile phone, but when you’re at home it’s nice to be able to enjoy uncompressed CD Quality Audio that’s been mastered as well as it possibly can.”
