Touch Dimensions have just released their previously iPad only awesome real time strategy game Autumn Dynasty for iPod and iPhone. Don’t think this is some lazy port either as the experience has been redesigned from the ground up with smaller screens in mind. However this doesn’t not mean you lose out on anything as you can battle anyone no matter if you have iPod, iPad or iPhone. Anyone who has purchased the app previously will be upgraded to the Universal version for free and we would like to see more developers reward early adopters like this. There’s also a little secret if you watch the videos all the way through as it shows Autumn Dynasty running on a Mac, no word on when that version will be released however.

iPad strategy game known for intuitive controls now available for iPhone and iPod touch

Touch Dimensions has just released a universal version of the intuitive iPad real time strategy game Autumn Dynasty. The game is rendered as a traditional Chinese painting, with the touchscreen becoming a battle map on which players use brushstrokes to direct their troops.
Currently featured in the Appstore Best of 2012 ‘New Ways to Play’ category for iPad, Autumn Dynasty has now been redesigned from the ground up for the small screen, allowing for iPod touch vs iPad vs iPhone play on an even footing. A new, instant-action Blitz mode has also been added for a faster paced, on-the-go experience.
Players who already own the game on the iPad will also receive a copy of the universal edition for free.
