Square Enix is committed to getting Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn into our hands no matter if you play on PC or PlayStation 3. However like with any video game and especially MMO’s there’s some challenges that need to be overcome in how it will control differently if you are either using a keyboard and mouse or a gamepad. The first video below goes through all that Square Enix has done to make you life easier if you are using a gamepad. No more weird clunky using the thumbstick to control a cursor interface this is the real deal here. The second video Square Enix has posted today shows off just what the in-game engine is capable of. Now note this is taken from a benchmark so while it is realtime and it is in-game this is not someone playing the game in realtime it’s all scripted sequences. So while we still are a ways off from playing Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn at least it looks like we’re in for something great once it does launch.
