PRESS RELEASE
Ambient Studios’s First iPad Game “Monster Meltdown” is instant Editors’ Choice
We all know that the real heroes are the ones you barely notice.
The street sweepers, the milk-men. The janitors.
Our hero, Yuri, is one of those janitors in a backwater Russian research lab. Late one night, he commits an unusually violent health and safety violation. Faced with a horde of lab specimens running amok, he does what any good janitor would do: Climbs in a hazmat suit, grabs a personal teleporter and sets off on a solo clean-up mission.
Monster Meltdown is a unique puzzle game for the iPad. Its one-touch teleportation mechanic may start out simple, but the levels get more fiendish and the traps more devious. The game’s beautiful art style and slick presentation have to be seen to be believed.
Apple saw it and instantly decided it should be Editors’ Choice across the board on 7th March, the day of its release!
Ambient was formed by a group of friends from Media Molecule, Lionhead and Criterion. The company now comprises 11 experienced developers with pedigrees including LittleBigPlanet, the Fable franchise, Burnout and Need For Speed.
Monster Meltdown is available now on the App Store for iPad 2, Mini, 3, and 4 for $1.99 / £1.49. For more information, a trailer and a media pack, please visit http://www.playmonstermeltdown.com
