Ultra Street Fighter IV is the brand new update from Capcom and they are going to great lengths to show they did this for all the fans who have supported them for the past 25 years. For owners of Super Street Fighter IV the update will cost $15 but bring along with it 5 new characters and balance updates. At retail the complete disc will cost $40 but the first trailer made mention that it includes a “ton of DLC extras” so if that just a roll up of all the already produced Super Street Fighter IV DLC or something more we’ll have to wait and see.
One thing is certain and that Capcom sure can bring fighting fans new and old together and Ultra Street Fighter 4 is a monumental occasion. If you’re just a casual fighting game fan like I am it’s always good to see a roster update to change up the pace and add some new flavor to a favorite. For fighting game aficionados the balance update means they need to go back and tweak their already honed craft to account for new offensive and defensive maneuvers. The additional characters means more study time as even though the characters are ports from Street Fighter x Tekken any small change could cost you a match during a tournament setting.
