Developer Size Five Games set up three hurdles for itself, make an awesome fun game, make some money to make more games and make sure people have fun with Gun Monkeys. So far hurdles one and two has been cleared handsomely however hurdle three needs more humans.

BAFTA-winning indie developer Size Five Games’ latest creation “Gun Monkeys” drops price in the hopes of attracting new players.
Despite solid, generally 8-out-of-10, reviews, Size Five Games has reluctantly taken the unusual step of dropping the price of Gun Monkeys after just one month to draw in new players and help keep servers buzzing.
Speaking on Size Five’s website, indie dev Dan Marshall said “It’s something I’m doing *extremely* reluctantly, because I don’t want to devalue the game, I 100% think it was worth $10. But I’ve come to the conclusion that the game’s multiplayer-only concept is a tough sell, so a pricing change is a necessary evil. It’s just not fair on the people who are playing and enjoying the game that they’re struggling to find people to play, so I’m doing everything in my power to remedy that.”
As well as a drop in price, every purchase now also comes with a second FREE key to gift to a friend, so you’ll always have someone to play against.
“You really do have to sell HYPER-LOTS of copies in order for the servers to have anyone in them, triply so if you’re trying to get a game at 4am. This is a fact I now know that I didn’t really appreciate before.”
In GUN MONKEYS, players take charge of a modern-day power company. In the distant future, a catastrophic experiment into Perpetual Energy obliterates all human life, leaving the world choc-full of free-for-the-taking energy. Your job is to send a legion of pleasingly-expendable monkeys forwards in time to collect Power Cubes and return them to present-day, all from the comfort of your PC. Sadly, it looks like one or two other entrepreneurs have had the exact same idea…
