Megabyte Punch, the crazy gameplay mash up of Super Smash Bros., Custom Robo and Megaman is finally nearing release, August 6th 2013 to be exact, and it’s going for a cool 20% off during launch week. You’ll have one week to grab the robot fighting, beat ‘up up game at $11.99 and then it will settle into its regular price of $14.99 and it is coming to the triple threat of PC, Mac and Linux. Also the team at Reptile Games have noted that anyone buying prior to the game being greenlit on Steam will get a Steam key so robo punch that yes button on Steam Greenlight HERE!
For those of you that love soundtrack editions of video games you’ll also be able to pick up the game, the 27 track soundtrack, HD Wallpapers and extra levels for $20. I don’t see anything that says there’s any kind of sale for the special soundtrack edition but it’s only $5 more than you would normally pay so if you consider yourself an audio collector you know what you must do.
Something we haven’t heard before about Megabyte Punch is that there is an easy as sin versus level creator. Fire up any graphics program of your choice, hell Paint sounds like it should work just fine, draw and save your design as a PNG file. The game will read the PNG and any pixel you created will be a block in game, like I said, easy as sin. PRESS RELEASE
Robot Fighting Beat Em’ Up MEGABYTE PUNCH goes on sale August 6th
Reptile Games announces their electro fighting, part collecting, robot smashing game will be 20% off August 6th on the Humble Bundle Store
San Francisco – July 30th, 2013 – Independent game developer Reptile Games is pleased to announce their game, Megabyte Punch will be on sale to the public on August 6th. Described best as a mash-up of SSB, Megaman and Custom Robo. Megabyte Punch is an electro fighting/beat ‘em up game in which players can build and customize their own player. The game will be sold on the Humble Store for 20% off its original price of $14.99. For the first week of release, Megabyte punch will be $11.99 (US) or currency equivalent for PC (Windows), Mac and Linux. There will also be an option to purchase a special edition of the game that comes with the original Soundtrack with 27 tracks, HD Wallpapers, and extra custom levels for $20.00.
Megabyte Punch takes place in a computer world where players protect the Heartcore of the village against the likes of the Valk Empire and the dreaded Khoteps in 6 different levels; each level contains 3 unique stages and an intense boss battle! Players will battle various creatures to collect parts and upgrade their own fighter, like drill legs to drill your way through level blocks, or uppercut arms for the ultimate electro chin smash. Players can take their upgraded battle bots and compete in tournaments or even fight it out in a destructible arena.
The game also offers the ability to make endless custom versus levels using external image editing software. The game reads a PNG file created by the player and links an in-game block to each pixel. Players can then fight in the arena with the abilities each customized creature gives them. “We’re really looking forward to what the community will create,” states lead developer Tim Remmers. “Users can create any world they want, and with the versus arenas being fully destructible, it should lead to some interesting fights!”
Features of the full game:
* Chunky stylish graphics.
* 6 unique electro-worlds with boss fights.
* 150 parts to collect and endless combinations to customize your character.
* Pumpin’ Electro Soundtrack.
* Compete in the tournament for rare parts.

About Reptile-Games:
Reptile began with making the customizable fighting/beat ‘em up game Megabyte Punch in late 2011. The early versions of the game received a lot of praise, which, coupled with the fact that hardly any game developer was making games quite the way Reptile saw them resulted in the formation of the company. In 2012, alongside developing Megabyte Punch, Reptile also diverted into smaller projects. Like the upcoming rhythm game Beat Attack and the competitive Lethal League.
