Nvidia has released the system requirements for Call of Duty: Ghosts and judging by how high they are I’m thinking the days of PC users shouting “reskin” and “same engine for 5 years” will be over unless they went real heavy on the camo face paint. Call of Duty: Ghosts will be a Windows 7/8 64-bit only affair on PC, needing a minimum of a decent Core 2 Duo 2.66ghz processor but the clincher is the 6 GB of RAM. Judging by the explosion of comments on Reddit when the rumored Watch Dogs specs were released it sounds like a lot of PC users stopped upgrading their RAM at 4 GB.
This would made sense since previously 4 GB was the RAM limit for all of our 32-bit operating systems and a lot of gamer’s and user’s were conditioned to the “anything more than 4 GB of RAM is a waste” mantra. But considering how cheap RAM is upgrading to 8 GB should be no big deal, however if they only have Windows 7 32-bit installed well that could be a nightmare. Onto the rest of the specs, 50 GB of HD space, hey just like Killzone: Shadow Fall on PS4, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti, ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better and of course any DirectX compatible sound card. All in all not bad specs, the only Recommended Requirements by Nvidia is a GeForce GTX 780 so it looks like Call of Duty: Ghosts might be more GPU intensive rather than CPU and we like that.
