I like that the team is focusing on making the game more nightmarish, I hope this game goes for more scares and has more bite than the last title. Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 launching Halloween
Rebellion teases harrowing return to Berlin with first trailer and screenshots
Independent UK developer Rebellion today announced that gamers will be able to return to the demon-infested ruins of World War 2 Berlin this Halloween when Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 launches on October 31st for PC.
Rebellion also kicked off pre-orders for the game at a 20% discount on bothSteam and – for the first time – Rebellion’s own Gamestore.
Originally announced for launch sometime this year, the first trailer andscreenshots give a glimpse into the game’s hellish new environments and the welcome return of the series’ unique blend of Carpenter-esque soundscapes and aesthetic tones influenced by classic 80s and slasher horror cinema.
As Rebellion CEO and Creative Director Jason Kingsley explains, the studio really wanted to play on the strengths of the original game, recently nominated for ‘Best Action Adventure’ by TIGA in their upcoming awards:
“We wanted to twist the occult horror from Nazi Zombie Army into something more nightmarish, more insane. There’s been a huge focus on making the levels more intimidating and the enemies even more grotesque and challenging.”
