Crytek’s Ryse: Son of Rome has gotten itself two new trailers along with a smattering of screenshots. You’ll no doubt remember Crytek has said Ryse is less of a quicktime even based game now, the QTE’s aren’t gone but the effect is less now than it was at E3 and the AI has been upgraded to give you more of a challenge.
The first trailer below shows off The Legend of Damocles a little mini movie about who Damocles was wronged by his men so he came back from the dead to kill them all. So in Ryse remember to never leave your men behind or just like a slasher movie they’ll come back from the grave to kill you. The second trailer below seems more like something you would see before a movie in the theater. You’ll see some nice gameplay footage along with epic movie voice-over type guy telling you how awesome what you’re seeing on screen is, the visuals do look awesome so it’s somewhat appropriate.
Finally we have the screenshots showing off the CryEngine in all it’s awesome glory. Like I said about the last trailer, Ryse: Son of Rome sure looks amazing. I would love to see how much more detail they could squeeze out of the game should it come to PC. For now however if you want your epic Roman soldier ass kicking game you’ll need to get yourself an Xbox One. Ryse: Son of Rome is a launch title and will be released with the Xbox One on November 22nd 2013 in North America, Europe, Australia and Brazil.
