Frozen Endzone is a tactical sports game brought to you by the Mode 7 Games who also made the wonderful turn based tactical shooter Frozen Synapse. However in Frozen Endzone there’s no guns here, no knives and no bullets but there is sweet robot on robot sports action. The game set’s you inside an area with a randomly generated terrain where you need to either stop or carry the ball into the opposing endzone. You’ll need to design plays to overcome not only the opposing team but also the obstacles that keep the game from being more than just a straight run to the other side of the field.
The art style and music for Frozen Endzone are already unique and just like Frozen Synapse I already need the soundtrack on heavy rotation based on what you can hear in the trailer. If you want to get your hands on this tactical sports game the beta will be releasing for PC at the end of November 2013 so be ready. TUESDAY 5 NOVEMBER, 2013 – The next game from Mode 7, creators of the highly successful indie hit Frozen Synapse, will open its exclusive beta to the public at the end of November!
Frozen Endzone combines the strategic depth of the multi-award-winning Frozen Synapse with an elegant interface, completely original creative gameplay and a thrilling futuristic aesthetic. Two teams face off in a randomly-generated scenario. You must design a play to get the ball into your opponent’s endzone, using the stadium’s terrain to your advantage.
The full game will be released in 2014 for PC, Mac and Linux.
