Psychological horror game Caffeine has made it’s way onto Indiegogo after teasing us previously with dark and foreboding trailers. This new trailer however is really, really new, while the last trailers and demos shown off were all Unreal Engine 3 tech Caffeine has now moved onto Unreal Engine 4.
According to the Incandescent Imaging team this means more freedom to push the limits of visual fidelity and we’re guessing make you poop your pants more than ever before. Caffeine puts you in the role of a small boy, alone on a spaceship. So small, fragile, no weapons and lonely in the middle of space where no one can hear you scream, check, check, check and check on the freak out-o-meter.
Should Caffeine be funded to the tune of $80,000 AUD they’re hoping to release the game early in 2015 for PC. Right now a PlayStation 4 version is off the table as a development kit is needed but this isn’t something set and stone and it might, might be a possibility. Be sure to check out the new trailer and you can even play the old demo to get a feel for the game before you hand over whatever you’re calling currency.
