If you’re old enough to remember Outcast you’ll remember the box art sported a man with a wicked pair of shades and this Outcast Reboot HD know’s to keep ’em. You’ll also notice a similar tone to the world, there’s lots of lush green and tons of rocks that climb to the sky, I kind of wish the fog would be reduced a bit more so hopefully they can tweak it a bit.
The team over at Fresh 3D Inc have already made significant progress on their Kickstarter here, raising 33% of their $600,000 goal with 13 days still left on the clock. It’s cool to finally see Outcast get a completely reworked graphics engine while still keeping that soft look you get from the old voxel technology, you can see the original running in the top left corner.
