So there’s a new update for Titanfall, this would normally be met with ho-hum excitement, I mean really bug fixes are great, especially if you are the one affected but normally they are something news worthy. But Update Three for Titanfall includes the wording Extreme frame-rate support” which caught my eye.
According to the new update should you have a monitor that supports something over the convential 60Hz refresh rate, normally this would be a 120Hz monitor, Titanfall should take advantage of it. Now Titanfall had a weird V-Sync issue on PC where a lot of players had to disable V-Sync in game and then force it via their graphics driver. This sucked for anyone with a high refresh rate monitor as it locked the game to 60 FPS.
Hopefully along with the other fixes this latest patch will get high end PC gamers back in the fight, who wants to spend all that money on a super badass gaming rig to use only half of it. The only other question I have is why does the Extreme frame-rate support only support up to 144 FPS? Wouldn’t it be better just to have an fully uncapped setting or is there something going on behind the scenes Respawn needs to to be limited for? Hit the link here for the full update log.
