Who doesn’t love giant monsters? Who wants to be a giant monster? You should have answered ME! to both of them, if not, I’m sorry, you have no soul and must leave. The rest of you should check out Kaiju-a-Gogo on Kickstarter where, yes, you can be your very own giant monster and DESTROY everything in your path, why, because you’re awesome, that’s why!
Kaiju-a-Gogo will feature three distinct monster types for you to choose from, Armagordon the human-like atomic science experiment, Shrubby the giant three headed carnivorous plant monster or Ginormasaurus gigaflops of raw ass kicking. The skill tree for each monster set looks just as enormous as the 50 Foot Woman and you’ll need all those powers to crush every city of earth beneath your feet.
Kerberos Productions is looking to raise $50,000 and $15 CAD gets you a copy of the game, however if you act fast you can sneak in for the early bird price of $12 CAD. Kaiju-a-Gogo is current about half way funded with 7 days left and they are building the game for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android platforms.

PRESS RELEASE
KAIJU-A-GOGO TO STOMP AROUND CUPERTINO (SORT OF)!
June 3rd, 2014 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kaiju-A-GoGo to feature iconic buildings in game, says indie studios must be about more than just PCs.
Kerberos Productions, who announced their next crowd-funded game two weeks ago, announced today that Apple headquarters (or its pixel copy at least) will find itself at risk of being stomped in the action-light strategy hybrid Kaiju-A-GoGo.
“Kaiju-A-GoGo will feature 50 cities around the world, and you attack them with your giant monster as you attempt to take over the world – sort of an Evil X-Com” said producer Chris Stewart. “One of our Kickstarter perks is that backers can choose a structure to feature in the game and one particular backer has expressed their wish for Apple’s circular campus HQ. We haven’t finished our cities list yet, but even if we don’t feature Cupertino specifically, the building can at least make a pleasant cameo at the far Southern edge of the San Francisco map.”
Stewart is quick to point out that it’s not an OS war thing. “While the city maps will be very simplified and stylised, we wanted people to recognize them by their layout, regions, and certain key structures. When we offered people the chance to pick a building for us to put in the game, or even a particular city, we weren’t certain if people would do it because of town rivalries or not, but as it turns out people are making their choices out of pride. People want their hometown to be included and they want it to feature buildings they associate strongly with it.”
“The person that chose Apple’s HQ is actually really excited to see the building in the game on their iPhone! Our lead monster artist half-jokingly designed an Apple inspired DLC monster skin for Ginormasaurus, called the iNormasaurus of course. He wasn’t disappointed when we said he should actually make it for a future DLC release!”
When asked about Kaiju-A-GoGo for Apple devices, “When we went full indie with our first game The Pit, we started with PC, as that was our background, and we’re now working to port it to Mac and Linux. With our second game, Ground Pounders, we developed with Mac, Linux, and mobile in mind and it’s already a Steamplay title, for PC, Mac, Linux. And we’re doing the same again with Kaiju-A-GoGo. A lot of indie devs put their efforts into one basket or another, but as markets and trends shift, diversification and servicing as many players as possible is going to be critical to the visibility and success of your games.”

In Kaiju-A-GoGo the player takes on the role of a fledgling Mad Scientist who has built the first human-controlled Kaiju in the world. While your rivals race to catch up with your genius and build their own Kaiju, you have a five-year-window to use your Kaiju to achieve TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION.
Kaiju-a-Gogo is the third crowd-funding campaign for Kerberos since they went full-indie in October 2012. The first successful campaign for the Vancouver-based developers produced “Sword of the Stars: The Pit”, a science-fiction Roguelike which has since become a cult hit and generated three DLC expansions, the most recent (Pilgrim) released for Easter 2014. The team’s second campaign produced the turn-based strategy wargame Ground Pounder s, already available for PC, Mac, Linux and Android in Early Access on Steam. Kaiju-a-Gogo will also be a multi-platform release, with support for PC, Android, Mac, Linux and iOS .
