We’ve talked about Secret Ponchos before and even if it was almost a year ago I’m still just as excited to finally play this old west arena fighter. It’s still coming to PlayStation 4 but PC users who want to pony up some funds can get in now via Steam Early Access.
The graphic style for Secret Ponchos looks perfect with it’s blending of 3D and comic book hard lines. When I first saw Secret Ponchos I was reminded of isometric action games of the past like Crusader No Remorse but the team at Switchblade Monkeys say that the game is more akin to a fighting game rather than a 1 vs enemy ai story shooter.
Players will choose from a variety of five old west stylized classes, The Killer, Kid Red, The Matador, The Deserter and Phantom Poncho and then battle to the death in bars, cemeteries, town streets and more. Check out the new E3 2014 gameplay trailer and you can pick up the game on Stream right here for $14.99 or $44.99 for a four pack. If you’re faster than a speeding bullet and pick up the game before June 20th 2014 you’ll get 25% off on the game.
*Note The current Early Access Build only includes controller support, sounds like Xbox 360/PlayStation 4 from this forum post, but the they are readying keyboard and mouse support for the final release.
