With the help of Team17, Dlala Studios’ Overruled! is ready to fight via Steam Early Access. You’ll step into the arena with a character but more importanlty a few cards in your hand that change the game on a whim.
Overruled! looks like a standard 4 player all out battle royale but the cards are what make this game stand out from the crowd. Playing a card during the match can change it from a free for all into 3 vs 1 or 2 on 2 or many more scenarios and power ups. There’s also six different game types like King of the Hill, Swag Bag, Fire Tag, Smash ‘n’ Grab, Headhunter and Race to keep games fresh and ever changing.
Since this is an early access title there’s only 5 levels, 7 characters, 25 change em up cards and 6 game types however as the game nears release Dlala Studios is looking to add more of these features plus a level editor as well. If you get in before August 19th 2014 you can pick up Overruled! for $9.09 or a four pack for $27.29 after they they go to $12.99 and $38.99 respectively. If you would rather play Overruled! on a console the game is slated to come to Xbox One in late 2014.
