We’ve brought you some info about The Vanishing of Ethan Carter before but this latest video is giving you more than just a teaser video or a few smattering of screenshots. If you couldn’t tell by the title The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is going to be a PC/PlayStation 4 based adventure horror game. We hope that means less jump scares and more psychological stuff to mess with your brain. Playing as the detective Paul maybe you’ll have some sweet detective skills to use a la Batman.
The gameplay video shows off some really nice environment, pristine lakes, shoddy bridges, and of course “you see that over there, you can go there reveals of forests in the distance. One of the detective features, inspect, shown off remind me of something like Heavy Rain where you get choices rather than concrete answers. I like where developer The Astronauts is going and I’m really hoping The Vanishing of Ethan Carter turns into a solid adventure game.
