Valve has released the next evolution of Steam upon the masses of PC gamers, me included, and now like the Dreamcast it’s thinking. The new new homepage will hopefully help you discover just what the hell you want to buy, play or look at. With personalized recommendations, reviews and new search tools all right there for you on the homepage.
My only concern is like you I buy a lot of stuff doing a Steam sale, I don’t even know why I buy what I buy but damn it I can’t pass up a good deal. So during the next Winter Sale when I go crazy and buy 100 more puzzle games will Steam start recommended nothing but puzzle games when I’ve bought all that I could possibly want, forever?
I guess we shall see on that one, however the other two new features that are very welcome is the follow, not interested, add to wishlist buttons in your discovery queue. Like Pandora you can easily and quickly pare down the discovery list to things you actually do want to follow. Steam is also shaking up the Steam Review game with the ability to follow Steam Curators or people who review and recommend games on steam. So log into Steam and check out what’s new.
