3D Realms has returned after a small haiatus and with that games a sale of epic proportions. From the birth of Apogee Software through the heyday of the first person shooter 3D Realms has a huge amount of classic gaming properties under their wing. Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein 3D, Commander Keen, Shadow Warrior, of which the reboot just launched for PS4/Xbox One, Rise of the Triad, Blakestone, Hocus Pocus, Raptor: Call of the Shadows, Monster Bash, Alien Carnage and more.
Now that 3D Realms is finally back you can actually pick up all the their work, minus Max Payne and Prey for just $19.99 with the 3D Realms Anthology pack. But you better hurry, tomorrow Oct 25th 2014 the price will skyrocket to an all time high of $39.99. Seriously, who has that kind of money? The 3D Realms Anthology also features a re-rockestrated soundtrack from Interceptor Entertainment’s Andrew Hulshult, Interceptor Entertainment are the guys who rebooted Rise of the Triad, you should check that out too if you haven’t already.
I really, really wish this was available as a PC Big Box release like what they are teasing on the store page. I get DRM-Free digital download are the way to go but man would you look at that box, that shit is EPIC! There’s also partial controller support and the pack has a neat little launcher that reminds me of the GOG.com interface. Be sure to check it out and relive the glory days of PC gaming!
