I’ll be damned, what a random day to release Mojang’s Scrolls to the masses. And if this wasn’t an awesome early Christmas present in and of itself Mojang has a few other gifts for you as well. You can try the demo version of Scrolls for free, kinda weird we have to get excited about demos but in this day and age with paid alphas and betas it’s a reality. If you bought Scrolls once or participated in the Alpha or Beta testing you get the full game on all formats, BOO-YA! Finally if you like what you play of the Scrolls demo it’s just $5.
If you’ve not heard about Scrolls before Mojang says it combines the best parts of collectible card games while adding in the strategy elements of tactical wargames. Kind of like a bridge between something like Pokemon/Magic the Gathering and StarCraft/Command and Conquer. Mojang also says that while you can buy in-game items for additional in-app purchases all items are available for reasonable amounts of gold you can earn for free in game and on top of that there is a limit to how much real money you can spend, neat.
