Right up front Valhalla Hills looks amazing, thanks Unreal Engine 4, it has that story book come to life look that makes you think anything is possible. Which is great as you are tasked to lead your Vikings to tribesmen to Valhalla! There’s some pretty cool tech behind Valhalla Hills like the ability for the game to create 2,000,000 different tribe men and women and procedural generated islands composed of 24 different terrains and 25 different resource types which gives you a new experience each time.
Valhalla Hills is being made by some industries veterans and the comparison to The Settlers is not only in spirit but in person with Thomas Häuser who was the leader programmer on The Settlers 2 now serving as creative director. Valhalla Hills is going to be coming to Steam Early Access on August 24th 2015 for $19.99 with an initial release on PC and forth coming releases on Mac and Linux when the game is completed in Q4 2015.
