There must be a ton of Yakuza fans on #Buildingthelist because here comes a pre-order for Yakuza 5 in North America! I’m still surprised every year that another Yakuza game makes its way out of Japan and into other parts of the world. Yakuza 5 was originally released in its home country all the way back in 2012 and features more of what fans love about the series.
A giant open world, more mini-games, more customization’s, more side stories with the addition of the “Another Drama” DLC content and even a modified battle system. Interestingly there’s no physical release for the game and you’ll have to download the whole thing via the PlayStation Network. For gamers who do pre-order Yakuza 5 they’ll receive a 15% discount over the normal price of $39.99 and get a free Static Theme for your PlayStation 3. Also of note is the release date, which SEGA says is Fall 2015 and PlayStation Network says 12/30/2015. I wonder if they really are going to wait until next to last day of the year to drop this one on us. The open-world action adventure game published by SEGA puts players in the roles of 5 interconnected protagonists as they explore the seedy underworld of Japan.
