Tom Clancy’s EndWar has jumped from consoles into an all out attack on the internet with it’s latest release EndWar Online. In this latest entry in the RTS series you’ll be in charge as you rebuild your homeland after the ashes of World War 3 has decimated the world. You can choose from two very different factions the European Enforcers with their high-tech arsenal or the Russian Spetsnaz who use brute force to get any and every job accomplished.
Tom Clancy’s EndWar is a free to play browser based RTS that looks deceptively more complex in the trailer than you expect from game of this type. The graphics already seem up to par with the ability to manage from a very pulled out eye in the sky perspective and also zoom all the way down to platoon level. It also loks as if you can use the whole world as your battle ground, spinning a globe and choosing which hot spot country to attack next.
The only piece that should have naysayers of free to play experiences worried is the RPG-Army Progression shown off. In it we are very quickly shown off managing hero units, research trees, and leveling up individual units. This has the potential to spell disaster if Ubisoft doesn’t implement the free to play balance just right. No one wants to go against a bought and pair for full upgraded army on day 1 so hopefully they’ll stick to mostly cosmetic in-app purchases. Developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, the team behind the console version of Tom Clancy’s EndWar®, Tom Clancy’s EndWar Online is a tactical and strategic MMO that offers real time battles, HQ and army management, and massive community-based wars, all set in next stage browser technology to deliver an unrivalled gameplay experience. Resources and money have run dry, factions are on the brink of collapse and rogue warlords have taken over.
