It’s finally happening, IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING! Nintendo is coming to their senses and releasing more of their back catalog on their new platforms, YAY! This time we’ll be getting a Special Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D. Dear Nintendo, we don’t you need to Special Edition every game before you release it on your latest console, just give us the damn games already.
What does The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Special Edition get you that is oh so special on the Nintendo 3DS? For the first time you’ll get enhanced 3D graphics. No, not just polygons, the original had that, 3D polygons that will fly out of your face… or recede back into the canvas that is the Nintendo 3DS screen.
Nintendo is also saying that that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Special Edition will have “streamline gameplay for a more comfortable experience“. I’m not entirely sure what that means, they probably edited some dungeon layouts or maybe added more item drops because there’s no way in hell they mean it’s more comfortable because it’s in the palm of your hand, right?
A big Nintendo/Legend of Zelda launch wouldn’t be complete without some pre-order madness and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Special Edition has just that. The pre-order from participating retailers will be a specially-designed SteelBook case, pin badge and double-sided poster. No word on if everyone gets this or if it’s specific territories so make sure you ask if any of those are must haves.
