When your first games are Amnesia and Penumbra you have pretty big shoes to fill. Frictional Games is filling those shoes with the terror that is SOMA. From the trailers they’ve posted previously they look to be on the right track. We know there are robots and we know those robots think they are people but not just anyone they think they are people you know and have some of their memories as well. Yeah, that right there is a reason to play SOMA with all the lights on. Bring your wet suit because SOMA’s brand of underwater horror is coming to PC and PlayStation 4 tomorrow September 22nd 2015. Also if you really want to know about the technical side of sound design head on over to their blog here they have a really cool feature on capturing the insanity of being underwater.
