Iridium Studios is proud to announce that Before the Echo (Sequence) has made it to both Linux and Mac all made possible by the latest inspiring Steve Jobs movie, be sure to tweet a thanks to Michael Fassbender. After 962 reviews on Steam at the time of this writing the game has a Very Positive rating and is said to be an interesting mash up of both rhythm games and RPG’s. If you are wondering why this title sounds familiar you might have heard of the sequel There Came An Echo which dazzled Kickstarter backers and picked up the vocal styling of master thespian Wil Wheaton. If you are also wondering why Sequence is in quotes it’s because that was the original title of the game but after some legal kerfuffle they had a name change so here we are now.
Before the Echo get’s high marks from pretty much everyone who has played it for it’s lovely fully voice acted story and fabulous music which is a good thing since A. it’s an RPG and B. it’s a rhythm game both of those things would be bad to screw when mashing these two genres together. Obviously reviews are all subjective but with the high amount of players who liked one or both of the games traits it’s a pretty good indicator that if you also like these genres Before the Echo will be more peanut butter and chocolate and less toothpaste and orange juice to you as well. Before the Echo is on Steam for $4.99 with Steamplay so you get Windows, Mac and Linux copies just by buying the game but it is also available to pick up on Xbox 360, which you don’t get by buying a copy on Steam, why would you think that?

PRESS RELEASE
Before the Echo comes to Mac and Linux with literally no warning whatsoever
Only seven people worldwide saw this coming, apparently
LOS ANGELES, CA, October 14th, 2015 – Iridium Studios, developer of the critically acclaimed Before the Echo and There Came an Echo, is proud to announce its first title, Before the Echo (formerly “Sequence”) is now available for the Mac and Linux platforms. It’s possible that they were recently inspired by that new Steve Jobs movie, or just happened to recently find a programmer who was good at this stuff. It’s a mystery, really.
“Our studies show that nearly four years after initial release is the optimal time to release ports of an indie game,” said Jason Wishnov, CEO of Iridium Studios, clearly indicating he does not know how studies work. “Now the vast hordes of fans, tired from their long years of chanting and summoning eldritch horrors in attempts to appease us, may finally go home and grab a nap.”
Before the Echo is a combination of a rhythm game and an RPG, featuring an 8+ hour story mode, over ninety minutes of voice acted dialogue, dozens of spells, and hilarious puns. It features 25+ tracks from phenoms Ronald Jenkees and Michael Wade Hamilton, and currently has an 86% positive user rating on Steam.
